I've never had a chance to stop by Zamora Brothers until recently. I would drive by the building every other day and often pondered about stoping by. The place looks like an old Italian deli, it has pictures of pigs cooking outside, yum "carnitas". If your vegan maybe the platanos (fried banana), arroz (rice) and frijoles (beans) and home made tortillas might work for you.
I would try everything here if you like meat. I love carnitas and chicken mole, so I tried carnitas smothered with mole sauce and hand made tortillas OMG the first bite took me back to my childhood. I would recommend this place to everyone!! -

Main Job: Meat Shop.
Side Job: Food Shop.
**I am only reviewing for their Food.
I ordered the Carnitas Burrito, and my boyfriend ordered carne asada tacos.
Though both had generous amount of meat (as it is a meat shop so less of everything else), it was cooked dry and lack of flavor.
Inside the burrito had beans, lots of rice, and meat. Sprinkles of onion. I'll give props to size because it'll fill you. But overall experience bland.
The salsa provided tasted like there was alcohol placed in it (due to the precipitation on the cap - it's been stored in the fridge). I felt nauseated after.
If you really want to go here: Location is near a lot of Car Shops which fix windows. Street parking only. Outside seating - two tables.
But - I wouldn't come here for the food. I don't know what their meat quality is like; it might be good? But the way they cooked it, I would go somewhere else.

I had a bit of time in the morning before heading to work and stopped by to have breakfast BEST IDEA I'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME!I had Huevos Rancheros full of flavor. I also tried the Green Pozole but took that for lunch and I loved it, they are very erogenous so I was able to safe half to enjoy tomorrow yum!

Zamora Brothers is a great place to stop and grab a bite. It's a cafeteria style meal that has many options. Food is definitely authentic and tastes like abuela just cooked it!
I had the Birria plate and my dad the chicharrón burritos. Food is fairly priced and the quality is outstanding. The chicharrón was moist and flavorful. My Birria was very flavorful and not gamey at all, the flavors all work well together and the beans and rice remind me like the flavors of the food when we used to visit Rosartio Beach and Puerto Nuevo as a kid.
We were down in east LA waiting for my windshield to be replaced so we had an hour to enjoy lunch. Definitely come try this place!
This cafeteria style restaurant is less than 10 mins away walking from many places to get your windshield replaced (at a great price)
